The International Institute for Tax & Finance (IITF), together with Thomas Jefferson School of Law (TJSL), San Diego, California, USA is proud to present the Advanced Diploma in Corporate Tax for the South African participants.  This 1 year, Post Graduate course is relevant to Tax Practitioners, Attorneys and Accountants

This two-part course, designed and lectured by Prof. Keith Engel (SA National Treasury) provides an extensive overview of the taxation of domestic corporate-shareholder and corporate-finance transactions.

The first part covers shareholder contributions to new and pre-existing companies, company investment returns, company terminations as well as group taxation.

The second part covers the tax issues associated with domestic company takeovers, mergers and divisions.  While most of the course focuses on tax, key elements of company law will be discussed to contextualise the tax issues.

Together with the international qualification through the American Bar Association accredited Thomas Jefferson School of Law this gives students a very unique qualification, that is unparalleled by anything currently on offer in South Africa.

This program is completed over 1 academic year and delivers 2 credits towards the TJSL LLM in International Tax and Finance.
